A Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) is specifically trained in the first 16 weeks of life. Unlike a general nanny, we focus on infant development, establishing feeding and sleep routines, and educating parents. We are specialists in the "fourth trimester" and often work overnight or in 24-hour shifts to ensure the baby is thriving and parents are resting.
It is never too early! Many families book us during their second trimester to ensure availability. However, we do sometimes have last-minute openings, so please reach out regardless of your due date.
Yes! We understand the unique logistics of syncing schedules and managing two (or more!) babies at once to ensure a peaceful household.
At Caring Twogether, we work as a seamless team. This gives your family a double layer of reliability. If one of us is unavailable due to an emergency or illness, the other is already familiar with your family's routine and can step in. You get the consistency of a solo provider with the backup security of a firm.
Our goal is to implement "gentle sleep conditioning" from the start. This means we set up healthy habits and biological rhythms that naturally lead to longer stretches of sleep. For older babies (4+ months), we offer more structured sleep training and consulting.
For overnight care, we usually stay in a nearby guest room with a monitor. We don't need a formal "setup," just a comfortable place to sit/rest and monitor your baby while they sleep between feedings.
Our philosophy is simple: fed is best. We are fully capable of supporting your breastfeeding journey, including latch assistance and milk storage. However, we are also 100% comfortable with formula and bottle feeding. Whether you are exclusively breastfeeding, using formula, or doing a mix of both, our only priority is a healthy baby and a happy, confident parent. We are here to support your choices without judgment.
